About Peter Heaton

Peter Heaton studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University and later gained an M.A. in Fine Art from Leeds Metropolitan University. He now works primarily with photography and digital imaging.

Over the last few years Peter’s work has revolved around the complexities of layering visual information and our interpretations of the resulting images. He has continued to exhibit widely since 1987, his work being featured in many publications and on both BBC and ITV Television. He has work in private collections in Europe and America. In 2010 he set up Vale of York Darkrooms where he teaches courses in both traditional chemical based Black and White Photography and Digital Imaging.
